MARELD and Molumba won the Annual Award of the Estonian Association of Landscape Architects for best public space.
In 2020 MARELD and Molumba won the competition to redesign the open-air stage in Keila (a small satellite-town to the capital Tallinn). Estonia has a rich choir singing tradition, and it’s an integral part of the country's cultural identity. But these open-air stages are often underused. Our proposal was to transform the existing monofunctional landscape and weave it together with the neighboring elementary school and hospital. The design was based on the idea of blending various forms and structures into the landscape. The paths, view corridors and functions are drawn into the landscape as a network of elegant curves.
