We are glad to share that MARELD together with Molumba architects has won the architectural design competition for building complex of the new terminal A building and the parking house of Tallinn’s Old City Harbour, new office building for the Port of Tallinn and surrounding public urban space.
The Port of Tallinn is the biggest Estonian complex of cargo and passenger ports and plays an important role in the Estonian transport system and in the Estonian economy as a whole. The strategic goal of the company is to improve Estonia’s competitive capacity as a maritime country. The Port of Tallinn also has the aim of bringing the city to the port by offering citizens and tourists the opportunity to spend quality time in the city center by the sea.
The jury writes “A versatile urban landscape has been designed which simultaneously supports both the architecture of the buildings and the richness of life”.
