MARELD developed a Public Space Design Program for Backaplan. The goal was to shape a cohesive design vision that translates the city’s Quality Program for streets and squares into inspiring, tangible solutions.

A key ambition throughout the project was to work sensitively within the existing ecological conditions of the site.

Kaj 16
A new green urban environment at Gothenburg’s waterfront, transforming the hard-surfaced quayside around Kaj 16 into a vibrant public space while integrating pedestrian connections, planting and sustainable stormwater management.

Planning programme and structural plan for the transformation of the historic Åkers krutbruk and the development of up to 500 new homes in Åkers styckebruk
Bollebygd cemetery
The cemetery is located in a picturesque setting on the outskirts of Bollebygd. The church can be seen from afar among the trees and from the road leading towards the town.
Latinskolan
A historic schoolyard transformed through circular landscape architecture, reusing existing materials and integrating new greenery and visible stormwater management to create a resilient and greener environment for future generations
