The site slopes gently towards the sea, which is a present and integral part of both the experience of the place and the islanders&#8217; souls. It is a place of great quality, frequently used by residents in their daily lives. The site is also a cultural environment that should be gently developed, with contemporary additions carefully integrated into the landscape. Ett villkor var att den befintliga markytan m\u00e5ste l\u00e4mnas or\u00f6rd.<\/p>\r\n<p>En cirkul\u00e4r granitmur f\u00f6rtydligar platsens v\u00e4rdighet och bildar en gr\u00e4ns mellan det formade och det naturliga landskapet. V\u00e5giga f\u00e4lt av perenner, gr\u00e4s, stenmj\u00f6l och granitkaminer ger en harmonisk komposition som pryder prydnadsomr\u00e5det och begravningsomr\u00e5det som helhet. Platsens topografi markeras av den mur som delvis skjuter ut i sluttningen p\u00e5 minneslundens baksida.<\/p>\r\n<p>A path of natural stone slabs, forms a &#8220;bridge&#8221; over the grass area where ashes are buried. The walkway leads over a graveled &#8220;beach&#8221; to a paved surface where there is seating and a planting with ornamental grass and a memorial stone.<\/p>\r\n<p>Planteringarna p\u00e5 framsidan av minneslunden \u00e4r ett symboliskt hav d\u00e4r perennerna skapar livfulla f\u00e4rgf\u00e4lt i bl\u00e5 och gr\u00f6na nyanser. Bergekar ges utrymme att expandera. Ett stort runt granitblock \u00e4r en plats f\u00f6r utsmyckning d\u00e4r man kan s\u00e4tta blommor i vas eller l\u00e4gga en krans. N\u00e4r minneslunden var f\u00e4rdigst\u00e4lld var n\u00e4sta steg att skapa en urngravlund. I f\u00f6rslaget placerade vi urngravlunden i n\u00e4rheten av den befintliga minneslunden. Den ligger i den h\u00f6gsta delen av kyrkog\u00e5rden, d\u00e4r man sitter med skogen i ryggen och utsikt \u00f6ver havet. En idealisk plats f\u00f6r en urngravlund.<\/p>\r\n<p>In the design, we built upon the aesthetic language of the memorial grove. The same building blocks are used- a semicircular wall, granite slabs, and undulating plantings. However, the elements are utilized in a different way. While the memorial grove is a closed space, the urn burial grove is open to its surroundings and part of a small walking loop. Whereas the memorial grove is inspired by the sea with blue-flowering, undulating plantings, the urn burial grove draws inspiration from the forest and the forest edge.
