The commission included the preparation of tender documentation for the public tendering of the project works. Wheeled activities were a common theme throughout the design and dialogue process which included several meetings with the local skateboard and Roller derby clubs. As part of the dialogue process, it was also decided that the project and park would be re-named Ekholmens Skatepark &#8211; a new neighbourhood park for the Ekholmen area of Link\u00f6ping.<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0_ekholmen_skate_6\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mareldarkitektur.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/0_ekholmen_skate_6.png\" alt=\"0_ekholmen_skate_6\" width=\"1200\" height=\"804\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0_ekholmen_skate_9\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mareldarkitektur.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/0_ekholmen_skate_9.png\" alt=\"0_ekholmen_skate_9\" width=\"1200\" height=\"804\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"g\u00e4sttr\u00e4ning\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mareldarkitektur.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/gasttraning.jpg\" alt=\"Foto: GoRullaz\" width=\"810\" height=\"455\" \/> Foto: GoRullaz <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0_ekholmen_skate_3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mareldarkitektur.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/0_ekholmen_skate_3.png\" alt=\"0_ekholmen_skate_3\" width=\"1200\" height=\"804\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>I n\u00e4ra samr\u00e5d med kommunen v\u00e4xte projektet snart till att omfatta intilliggande parkomr\u00e5den och nya offentliga toaletter. De punkter som identifierades som viktiga f\u00f6r utvecklingen av kvartersparken\/skateparken var: renovering av den befintliga skateparken f\u00f6r nyb\u00f6rjare, \u00e5sk\u00e5darplatser, skapande av nya parkytor och m\u00f6tesplatser, st\u00f6rre gr\u00e4sytor f\u00f6r att underl\u00e4tta mer informella parkaktiviteter som picknick och frisbee, minskade underh\u00e5llskrav och ett tydligt direktiv om att \u00f6ka den biologiska m\u00e5ngfalden i omr\u00e5det.<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"IMG_0173\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mareldarkitektur.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/IMG_0173-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0173\" width=\"2560\" height=\"585\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"IMG_0179\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mareldarkitektur.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/IMG_0179-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0179\" width=\"1920\" height=\"2560\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0_ekholmen_skate_2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mareldarkitektur.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/0_ekholmen_skate_2.png\" alt=\"0_ekholmen_skate_2\" width=\"1200\" height=\"804\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>F\u00f6r MARELD var det s\u00e4rskilt viktigt att uppn\u00e5 en bra balans mellan skateboard\u00e5kning, roller derby och de nya parkfunktionerna. Andra viktiga designfaktorer var inf\u00f6randet av h\u00e4ngande belysning f\u00f6r att minska antalet belysningsstolpar och d\u00e4rmed skapa mer funktionella parkytor.  H\u00e5llbara dr\u00e4neringsl\u00f6sningar f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rdr\u00f6ja ytvattenavrinningen inf\u00f6rdes i alla nya parkomr\u00e5den.
