By involving people early in our design process, we develop a deeper understanding of a place’s social and cultural context. We use dialogue, prototyping and participatory processes, to guide us to well-grounded and sustainable placemaking.
Design dialogue
Dialogue and participatory design are crucial tools that help us achieve solutions that have deeply embedded social values. We have a finely tuned co-creation process of working interactively with communities and end-users. Small-scale prototyping allows us to test, learn and evaluate throughout the design process, and helps to encourage and thereby safeguard public engagement, reduce risk-taking, and use resources wisely. Everything we undertake springs from a dialogue with people and places we work with.
